Winthorpe is a relatively major city with a population of about 94 000 and home to Cedar Crest University. Part of the greater Offetstine area, it is home to an unusually high concentration of magic energy. By some estimates, up to 1 in 1500 residents of the city are in some manner demi-human, although these statistics are muddied by the inherently secretive nature of the Masquerade.
